The 42nd Annual MLK Parade
Marching with the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston and the Houston Jewish Alliance for Civil Rights

Monday, January 20, 9:30 AM-12:30 PM.
In celebration of Dr. King’s legacy of civil rights, the Houston Jewish community will be participating and marching in the 42nd Annual MLK Day Parade.

The parade route is approximately I mile. This event is family friendly, open to all, and lots of fun.

A Note from Rabbi Teller
Shalom Friends,
Brith Shalom has always been at the forefront of civil rights. In 1965, Rabbi Moshe Cahana z”l, Brith Shalom’s longest tenured rabbi and our rabbi emeritus, marched with Dr. King at Selma. When he arrived back at the Brith Shalom sanctuary, he received a standing ovation from our membership.
Let’s reinforce our coalitions with our brothers and sisters in the Houston civic community. Join your fellow congregants and Houstonians for this important march.

Registration is required.

The specific meeting location will be given upon registration.

I look forward to marching with you as we carry our Brith Shalom legacy into the future.

Blessings, love, and peace,
Rabbi Teller
