Yom HaShoah is on Tuesday, April 18.

Because of the significant importance of this day, The Jewish Federation of Greater Houston will be collaborating with Holocaust Museum Houston to sponsor an event called  “Zikaron BaSalon.”  For those of you that do not know what Zikaron BaSalon is, it is an opportunity for Holocaust survivors or second-generation descendants of survivors to share their stories in an intimate living room setting.

The Federation and HMH will coordinate approximately 15 houses to host members of the community. Either a survivor or a second-generation child of a survivor who will tell their story. A staff member of the Federation will be at each house to help with preparation and to moderate the conversations.
