Artists from Houston Grand Opera’s prestigious Butler Studio,  Alissa Goretsky, Michael McDermott, and Laura Bleakley present a recital of music by Jewish creatives. Featured on the recital will be works by Jewish composers, some very well known such as Leonard Bernstein (featured in the Oscar nominated film Maestro), as well as  hidden gems by other composers such as Arnold Schoenberg, Gerald Finzi, Gustav Mahler, and others. 

Both Alissa and Michael come from Jewish families and are excited to celebrate their heritage with you all in this one afternoon recital.
