Israeli folk dancing has coming to Brith Shalom!
In Israel itself, there are thousands of dancers who enjoy Israeli dancing -- known as Rikudei Am (dances of the people) -- they meet regularly and have huge repertoires of dances.
Rikudim Texas, a group of budding enthusiastas and their teacher Marcelo Marianoff are gathering at the synagogue to learn these traditional dances. We meet every Wednesday at 6:00 PM. There is no charge, and no prior experience is necessary. We start with simple dances that can be learned easily. It's fun! It's lively, and it's aerobics.
Marcelo Marianoff is an Israeli dance teacher and workshop leader from Argentina (Cordoba). He is also a stage choreographer. He is teaching now all around the world, in many festivals, camps, and workshops. He is bringing his dynamism, knowledge, energy, and experience to Brith Shalom.
No doubt you will be delighted.
