The traditional Torah and Haftarah readings for the High Holy Days--and contemporary variations-- give us another lens through which to approach the themes of this most sacred part of the Jewish year.

In each class, we will have the opportunity to examine and discuss the readings for the specified day.

Week 1: Rosh Hashanah, Day 1
Week 2: Rosh Hashanah, Day 2
Week 3: Yom Kippur

Nancy Pryzant Picus received her Masters of Arts in Hebrew Education from the Rhea Hirsch School of Education at Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles in 1978. Since that time, she has been involved in Jewish education in numerous capacities, most recently as the Director of Jewish Learning at The Shlenker School. Following her retirement in 2016, she has continued her involvement in Jewish education as a mentor, classroom teacher, and learner.
