Get Cultured with YidLife Crisis at Kenny & Ziggy's

Thursday, February 23, 7:30 pm

Join us for this upcoming Get Cultured young adult program featuring the creators/stars of YidLife Crisis at Kenny & Ziggy's for an exclusive young adult event on Thursday, February 23rd. These two young guys created this hilarious web series all in Yiddish, but they are talking about very contemporary things (how they are lactose intolerant, their dating lives, food, etc.). The event will be a combination of comedy show and a TED talk with their short films sprinkled throughout. They will be speaking in English and the shorts will have English subtitles.

Tickets are $18, which includes dinner from Kenny & Ziggy (deli sandwiches, salad and dessert) and must be purchased in advance by Sunday, February 19 at this link: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2863698

Putzel

Wednesday, March 15 | Happy Hour at 7PM | Film at 7:30 PM

River Oaks Theatre

Film trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RDBQarYLOM

For a young man, endearingly known as Putzel, life literally doesn’t go beyond his family’s fish store and his community on the upper west side of Manhattan. In this heartwarming comedy, Walter’s aspirations of taking over his uncle’s shop are disrupted by the arrival of Sally (Melanie Lynskey, Two and a Half Men), who becomes romantically involved with his uncle. While Walter tries to thwart their romance in order to ensure his taking over the business, he finally starts to realize his full potential.
