Tikkun Olam Team
Congregation Brith Shalom has begun a new initiative, the Tikkun Olam Team, whose purpose it is to enable congregants to come together to do community service projects. Our hope is to have projects which continue throughout the year.
According to the Torah, all human beings are created in God’s image. As Jews, when we assist those in need, we enable the spark of God within each person to be illuminated and bring Godliness into our world. All are invited to be a part of this holy task.
The world stands on three things: on Torah, on the service of God, and on acts of lovingkindess.

As part of our new Tikkun Olam Initiative, Congregation Brith Shalom will be conducting collections benefitting local charitable organizations. Each month, we ask you to consider donating specific items in the Tzedakah Box in our lobby, which will be collected and delivered to the designated organization.
