Welcome to Congregation Brith Shalom!
Brith Shalom is a participatory, intimate community with a strong sense of spirituality. We express our spirituality through prayer, study, social action, and volunteerism. We are excited that you are considering joining our congregation. CBS is a warm and wonderful Conservative synagogue that cares about every member and strives to be each member's Jewish home-away-from-home. We hope you will find ways to get involved in synagogue life; feel free to contact our clergy and staff. If you check off areas of interest on your application, our membership committee will get you connected with members working in those areas.
We know that financial considerations are significant factors when selecting a synagogue. Because the process of electing an annual giving committment can be intimidating, we are committed to making it straight-forward and simple. As with all aspects of your CBS experience, we want the financial aspect of joining us to be a positive one.
Learn more about our membership process and our annual giving options available to new members and to begin the membership application process. Please note that we do not invade your privacy by requiring you to base your dues payment on a specific percentage of your income. To start your application, download both the Membership Application & Annual Giving Application. Fill them in, save them, then send them to Cherye-Ann as e-mail attachments.
If you have any questions about Brith Shalom or membership, please contact Peter Gingiss, Chair of the Membership Committee, or Stephan Rubin, President of the Board of Trustees. For financial questions, contact Elliot Gershenson, Financial VP, or Melissa Magenheim, Interim Synagogue Administrator, or contact the office at (713) 667-9201.
