The conversion process is more than simply learning new information. It involves new community, the absorbing of Jewish values and Jewish history, and in many ways, a novel identity.
Prior to Mincha on Yom Kippur afternoon, we have invited 5 individuals who have converted or are in process of conversion to participate in a panel discussion of what the process is like and the challenges and joys of joining Judaism and the Jewish community.
