Men's Club Breakfast

Sunday, November 10, 2019 12 Cheshvan 5780

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Leslie Herbst of Port Houston will introduce us to this powerhouse in our backyard. The Port is an economic engine for the Houston region; it supports the creation of more than 2.1 million nationwide jobs, and $617 billion in economic impact across the nation. Its diverse cargo-handling facilities capabilities give it competitive market advantages in a worldwide marketplace. Yet it is not well-known and little discussed.

Ms. Herbst will give us an insiders’ look at this dynamo that is helping to lift the profile of Houston worldwide.

Herbst joined Port Houston in 2012 and is the Director of the Community Relations & Events, which focuses on outreach initiatives involving Port of Houston community stakeholders.

Prior to joining Port Houston, Herbst held several positions in the Donor Relations Department at United Way of Greater Houston, where she managed the Loaned Executive program and also focused on Houston-area young leaders. While at United Way, she was also selected to be a member of the inaugural Global Fellowship program, which was comprised of 25 young professionals from United Ways around the world who addressed global issues in the areas of non-profit fundraising and community investment.

The program is free for Men’s Club members, $5 for non-members and includes a hot breakfast.
