Thanksgiving and Hanukkah are usually a time of family gatherings and long-standing traditions, many of which may not be possible this year.  Being frustrated, angry, lonely, and anxious are typical reactions to abnormal circumstances.

In this presentation, Gittel Francis, LMSW Community Intervention Specialist, will share how to recognize symptoms of depression and anxiety, and will review services available through Jewish Family Service (JFS).  Additionally, she will offer a discussion of stressful issues associated with the holidays, offer some coping mechanisms, and answer some of your most common questions.

Gittel Francis is the Behavioral Mental Health Services Community Intervention Specialist at Jewish Family Service. In her role, Gittel hosts training and lectures on a range of topics to increase mental health literacy and decrease stigma. Gittel manages the Jewish Family Service Mental Health First Aid program and holds the title of national instructor in Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid.
