CBS Adult Ed on Zoom: Shabbat Study

Sunday, April 12, 2020 18 Nisan 5780

10:30 AM - 11:30 AMVia Zoom

We are scheduling our congregant-led learning for April via Zoom. The sessions will be held on Sunday mornings. Both will be held at 10:30 a.m for an hour (or perhaps a little longer)

Each Zoom session will open at 10:00 to allow those who need technical support to connect earlier and get assistance. The phone number for assistance will be (713) 899-3843.

The two Sessions for April will be:

  • April 12 at 10:30: Shabbat Study Lisa Trimarchi will lead the third of her four-part series on Italian Jewry.
  • April 19 at 10:30: Inspired Book Club. Debbie Kagan will lead the discussion on Part I (pp 5 - 257) of “As a Driven Leaf” by Milton Steinberg.

Please do not wait until 10:30 to sign into the Zoom link. The zoom link will open at 10:00 AM. This will give everyone time to adjust volumes, pictures, etc. When the sessions begin, please MUTE your voice, but turn up the volume to hear the speaker. We will give everyone time to be heard and answer questions.

See below for overall technical instructions for using Zoom on various devices. In my experience iPad is easiest because of the Zoom client and the integration of voice and video via the App. PCs are hardest for the technically challenged. In any case, I suggest you try Zoom out well before our event. There are lots of events going on everywhere to try on. Please feel free to invite anyone else who may be interested to these sessions.
