Rosh Hashanah I 5773

Rabbi Ranon Teller

We sit here all day, singing and praying and singing and praying and talking and singing and praying. What are we achieving out of this experience, to inform the rest of our lives? I hope that there are moments of inspiration here in shul, but how does this experience translate as a guiding force in our lives?

Brith Shalom Recognizes Leonard Goldstein as Shabbat Shuvah Honoree

Each year, the Religious Practices Committee of Congregation Brith Shalom honors a congregant who is recognized on Shabbat Shuvah, the "Sabbath of Return" between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The individual chosen for this honor is someone who has gone "above and beyond" in service to Brith Shalom and to the entire community. Honorees are exemplary individuals who have brought respect to the synagogue through their service and provided examples of dedication to the positive ideals of CBS.
