Your Jewish Journey Starts Here.

Three Times the Mitzvah

"Watching how proficient in reading Hebrew and reading the Torah, knowing the prayers, being able to follow the order of the service and me not having to point anymore in the prayer book and say, 'this is where we are' makes me proud," said the mom. "We couldn't have done it without the leadership and the teachers at Brith Shalom. Their love of Judaism has been contagious to the girls. They come home with a bright light in their eyes. They are looking forward to continuing their education in the Kehillah High program."

Rabbi Michael Goldstein, Harav Moshe Shlomo ben Eliezer u’Dvorah

Shalom all,

The world lost a true tzadik in Rabbi Michael Goldstein z”l. When a tzadik dies, he bring atonement to the world. Due to a tzadik’s humility, his deeds only become public knowledge after his death. Here is my eulogy for my colleague, my friend and role model. May we all learn from his character and patience.

Family and Friends,

I am at, or near, my first 100 days serving as your President of CBS.  I was hoping that my first President’s Blog submission would be something fun, positive, exciting, etc...  I wanted to introduce to you our new, enthusiastic and devoted Officers and Board of Trustees, who, because of their great love and support of CBS, are giving so much of their valuable time and talent to making CBS a fantastic place for worship, learning and communal support.  I wanted to tell you about our plans for the Synagogue, how we will be working hard to put CBS on a strong financial footing, not only with respect to current financial obligations but working so hard towards a solid and stable financial future. Israel Debate Resources

Shalom Friends,
I hope your summer is going well. I’m sitting in a café in Boulder, Colorado, preparing High Holy Day sermons. While I’ve been here, American Jewish community leadership has been struggling to find a strategic approach to the challenges to religious pluralism in Israel. Over the past few weeks, our relationship with Israel has experienced tension and frustration because of the stalled Kotel compromise and the proposed Conversion Bill. I wanted to share some resources, a reflection, and an update.

An Ongoing Interfaith Conversation

Dear Rabbi Ranon Teller,

I have just returned from my overseas trip last week and therefore was not able to write to you sooner. I was traveling to Makkah, Saudi Arabia for the minor pilgrimage and visited other countries as well during my spiritual journey. I prayed for all of my friends and brothers for their prosperity, success and peace for all through out my trip. I cherished and enjoyed our recent get together at the Mosque and looking forward to our visit to your center soon.
