Erev Yom Kippur Speech

Wed, 10/04/2017 - 1:23am -- President Steph...

Shabbat shalom. I am Stephan Rubin, and I am still your President.

I appear before you tonight to share with you my thoughts and feelings about our shul and its future; and, at the conclusion of my talk, to present the announcements that will help guide you as we join together to pray this weekend and hereafter.

Rabbi Michael Goldstein, Harav Moshe Shlomo ben Eliezer u’Dvorah

Mon, 09/18/2017 - 9:23am -- Rabbi Ranon Teller

Shalom all,

The world lost a true tzadik in Rabbi Michael Goldstein z”l. When a tzadik dies, he bring atonement to the world. Due to a tzadik’s humility, his deeds only become public knowledge after his death. Here is my eulogy for my colleague, my friend and role model. May we all learn from his character and patience.

I WANT TO CRY...

Fri, 09/01/2017 - 12:00am -- President Steph...

Family and Friends,

I am at, or near, my first 100 days serving as your President of CBS.  I was hoping that my first President’s Blog submission would be something fun, positive, exciting, etc...  I wanted to introduce to you our new, enthusiastic and devoted Officers and Board of Trustees, who, because of their great love and support of CBS, are giving so much of their valuable time and talent to making CBS a fantastic place for worship, learning and communal support.  I wanted to tell you about our plans for the Synagogue, how we will be working hard to put CBS on a strong financial footing, not only with respect to current financial obligations but working so hard towards a solid and stable financial future. Israel Debate Resources

Wed, 08/02/2017 - 3:55pm -- Rabbi Ranon Teller

Shalom Friends,

I hope your summer is going well. I’m sitting in a café in Boulder, Colorado, preparing High Holy Day sermons. While I’ve been here, American Jewish community leadership has been struggling to find a strategic approach to the challenges to religious pluralism in Israel. Over the past few weeks, our relationship with Israel has experienced tension and frustration because of the stalled Kotel compromise and the proposed Conversion Bill. I wanted to share some resources, a reflection, and an update.

An Ongoing Interfaith Conversation

Wed, 04/05/2017 - 10:07am -- Rabbi Ranon Teller

Dear Rabbi Ranon Teller,

I have just returned from my overseas trip last week and therefore was not able to write to you sooner. I was traveling to Makkah, Saudi Arabia for the minor pilgrimage and visited other countries as well during my spiritual journey. I prayed for all of my friends and brothers for their prosperity, success and peace for all through out my trip. I cherished and enjoyed our recent get together at the Mosque and looking forward to our visit to your center soon.
