Adult Education 2026 Special Lecture: Dr. Milton Klein
Dr. Milton Klein presents Healthcare Confronts Skepticism Sunday, March 15, at 11:00 AM. In person at Brith Shalom.
In this compelling lecture, Dr. Klein will explore the precarious intersection of modern healthcare and rising skepticism. By analyzing the psychological and social drivers of science denial, he will examine how misinformation erodes public trust. Dr. Klein will discuss some essential strategies for clinicians and educators to communicate evidence-based truths, and for patients to consider how best to safeguard health in an era of doubt.

Dr. Milton Klein received a B.S. from McGill University and was a Regent Scholar at UC, San Diego School of Medicine. Following his cardiology fellowship at Washington University and research at the Hammersmith Hospital in London, Dr. Klein became Clinical Professor at both Baylor College of Medicine and UT, Houston. He has published Learned by Heart: Dialogues with My Father, and Handle With Care: A Doctor’s Search for Faith, Fact, and Feeling, as well as numerous articles in the medical literature. Awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the American Heart Association, as well as the Outstanding Clinical Teaching Award for Interventional Cardiology at UT, Houston, Dr. Klein retired in 2012 after thirty-five years in clinical practice and has volunteered in medical efforts in Tanzania. His novel, Desperate Measures, is soon to be published.
