Thursdays, April 23 and April 30, at 7:00 PM
In person at Brith Shalom and on YouTube

Jewish Ethics of Star Trek (Part 1: Good vs Evil)
Yetzer HaTov vs Yetzer HaRa; Good vs Evil. Join us as we boldly go where no one has gone before to investigate how Star Trek explored Jewish concepts of good and evil within our galaxy.

Jewish Ethics of Star Trek continued (Part 2: Does Data have a Soul?).
The nature of the Neshama (the “soul”). In Judaism, each human soul is uniquely associated with divine life, consciousness, and moral free will. Join us as we apply Jewish law to define legal, moral and ethical concepts to determine if Data (a synthetic life form) has a soul.

Jeffrey K. Actor, Ph.D., was a tenured Professor at the University of Texas-Houston McGovern Medical School and the UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
