Our youth programs provide age appropriate activities and teach leadership skills, Jewish practice, ethics and beliefs. Brith Shalom is a wonderful place for our youth to develop a sense of Jewish identity and pride. Participants in youth activities will make new friends, think of their synagogue community as a place to have fun, and develop social and leadership skills. We strongly encourage your family to take advantage of the opportunities and experiences that await at our congregation.
- Machar
Machar is Hebrew for "tomorrow" and is also the name of Brith Shalom's youth group for 3rd - 5th graders. Throughout the year, we will be joining together to have fun, get to know each other, and connect to our larger Jewish community. One of the most important goals of Machar is to connect children in the Religious School program and those who are in Day Schools.
- Kadima
Kadima is Brith Shalom’s youth group for 6th-8th graders. Religious School and Day School Students in this age group meet 1-2 times per month and participate in regional and national United Synagogue Programming as well.
- USY HouJew
For our teens, CBS offers a USY program. HouJew is the new city-wide USY chapter in which our teens participate throughout the year. USY is the place to be!
- Shabbat Club
All teens, 8th thru 12th grade. are invited to attend a monthly Friday evening experience designed specifically for them. Kabbalat Shabbat services in a home are followed by Shabbat dinner, social time, and a brief discussion.
