Strongly supported and encouraged by Rabbi Teller, chavurot of CBS members have flourished and endured. Some chavurot have been together for as long as 30 years! Others are more newly formed. A chavurah can be created based on members’ ages, whether they have children or not, particular interests or any number of common attractions. If you are thinking of creating a new chavurah, download and fill out our questionnaire. A chavurah may choose to gather for social activities only, for discussions of relevant topics of the day or of Jewish history and its meanings, for holiday celebrations or for observing life cycle events – or for all of the above and more. A "Chavurah" is a small, cohesive group of Brith Shalom members who gather once a month for social, spiritual, and/or educational experiences, a place where you can form close relationships that last a lifetime.
